She then appeared in American Idol, but failed to reach the top. Apryl was also a contestant on Making the Band but it was not a success for her. Apryl was also a part of the reality show Search For The Next Doll in which she was a contestant to be part of the newly formed Pussycat Dolls. Apryl did not impress anyone on the panel so she was not selected. Later, she met with an established singer who invited her to join a tour as a backup singer. Both decided to be part of Vh1's popular TV show Hollywood and became one of the cast's eight original members. The premiere episode focuses on their pregnancy and the birth of Megaa Omari. Season 2 focuses on her discontents with and insecurities regarding her career choices. Omarion is on tour when she recorded the reunion episode from season two, didn't accompany Apryl. Apryl announced that she and Omarion have quit the show on the 7th of December, 2015. The couple will not ever return to the show for the next season. The daughter of Apryl was born on the 7th of March 2016. Apryl, Omarion and their daughter A'mei Kazuko announced that they had broken the four-month gap. Apryl made an appearance as a special character in season four, meeting Lil' Fizz and discussing the possibility of a B2K reunion. Apryl is back in the sixth season of the show, which follows her custody fight with Omarion as well as the speculation about her romantic relationship with Lil' Fizz. In the sixth season of Apryl the two of them Fizz admit they have a romantic relationship, making her feel conflicted with Moniece.
