Zoe-perry
Perry was born to actor Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. Her first television appearances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother played her role. She did not pursue acting as a career until she reached the age of adulthood due to her parents being afraid of the negative impact stress might have. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry made her debut as an actress in New York after graduation, landing minor roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry go back to California and find work as a theater actress. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013. In 2015, she starred alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal in which her father was the main character. She was also cast in her role on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mother.
